Are you an indie artist? Well, there is news for you! upload your music to Facebook or Instagram through Distrokid and TuneCore has become super easy.
Facebook finally created an Independent Artist Program that enables users to upload their music to Instagram and Facebook. If you want to upload your music to Instagram reels or stories, then you can now easily do that through TuneCore of DistroKid. The same applies when you want to upload your music to Facebook.
Facebook has now signed partnership deals with both TuneCore and DistroKid that will see to it that artists get to distribute their music to Facebook and Instagram at no charges. Once you have distributed your music to DistroKid or TuneCore, they will then upload your music to Instagram and/or Facebook and they will also use the music to utilize and create more content on the platforms using the various products or services available in such platforms. For instance, these platforms usually have lyrics of various music that users can add to their stories and reels for instance. Your music will hence create content for such products or services.
The bigger question that you may all be asking is whether these distributors will pay artists who sign up with them for distribution to Facebook and Instagram. Well, the answer is that; that depends on the specific terms of your agreement with the said distributor. Ideally, artists who distribute their music through TuneCore and DistroKid should be paid following the terms of the agreement signed by both parties.
TuneCore appreciated that the partnership is a big win to artists and the music industry in general. It also affirmed that it would pay artists who sign up with them for distributing their music to Facebook and Instagram.
